Springfield Township, New Jersey wanted to upgrade the existing community pool house, which serves as the main entrance to Springfield’s community pools. The original structure primarily served as dressing and toilet rooms, and the Township wanted to fully upgrade the facility. The building was expanded to measure approximately 7,000 square feet and space was created for offices, a full-service kitchen, a meeting room, fitness center, and locker rooms. Working closely with Springfield Township, the Architect, and the local utility service providers to bring new services to the expanded building, Engineering Driven Design provided custom mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems designs, as well as assistance during the bidding and construction phases.
