Mendham Town Hall | Addition & Alterations
Once used as an old school house, the two-story historic town library and municipal offices had grown too tight and outdated to serve the needs of the community. A team including Engineering Driven Design PC worked to design alterations and an addition to the building, improving function and bringing it up to current construction standards. Part of improving the existing building included an upgrade to the existing utility services. Additionally, the engineering systems design included all new HVAC systems. The boilers were removed and replaced along with the related hydronic pumping system and specialties. The entire fire alarm was replaced in conjunction with a sprinkler system extension to provide extended notification and suppression coverage throughout the existing and new parts of the building. In reconfigured areas, new toilet rooms were provided while the existing were upgraded.
