After the existing steam boiler serving the Smalley Elementary School in Bound Brook New Jersey had failed, Engineering Driven Design PC worked to design upgrades to the boiler room, not only to replace the boiler but to improve thermal comfort throughout the school. The scope of work included the design of a replacement boiler and modifications to the existing steam traps throughout the entire system.

The boiler was designed to ensure there was redundancy in the heating system and to allow for improved observance of any comfort complaints going forward. As the system ages, this will help establish if any future concerns are control or equipment related.
